Dr Nicola Winfield
Dr Nicola Winfield is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who has worked for the NHS and in the private sector. Her experience includes working with adults and young people with a full range of mental health problems and emotional distress.
Nicola has special interests in working with people with difficulties associated with physical health and neurological conditions and acquired brain injury. She is trained in specialist therapeutic approaches in this area to help people overcome the associated difficulties and distressing emotions.
Nicola has delivered teaching and training, predominately, in relation to disability psychotherapy. Nicola is also keen to branch out and support organisations to develop a wellbeing strategy within schools and in the workplace.
Within Independent practice, Nicola has provided a range of assessment and therapy services and works confidently with adults and young people. She can provide expert witness reports in Personal Injury, Psychological aspects of medical negligence and PTSD and related disorders in adults and children.
Nicola has a calm, friendly and approachable manner.
